About BandDB

A database of 259 bands and artists spanning over 70 years of music history.

Each artist page lists the country of origin, the year the act started and its main genre, followed by a short profile covering key members, landmark records and cultural impact. You can browse by genre, country or decade from the home page, or search by name, genre or keyword. The blog and FAQ cover broader music history topics such as the Britpop wars and the 27 Club.
